We are working with a number of our partners including Youngstown State University, M-7 Technologies and Technology Belt Engineering Innovation Center to develop advanced manufacturing technologies to increase productivity and provide the technology edge to make manufacturing in this region competitive with cheaper labor regions around the world. An example of our efforts is a sensor technology that our partner M-7 technologies has licensed from an Israeli company and is an important element of RISE .
Mahoning Valley and surrounding areas have both natural resources and manufacturing base to support novel energy programs and to meet national energy needs. Our technology interests include cleaner ways of utilizing fossil fuels, and novel and alternative energy sources such as wind power and natural gas hydrates. An example is our partnership with ADI Wind to develop and demonstrate an efficient transportable wind power generator uniquely suited for military and field applications.
With the increasing dependence on internet for daily activities, cybercrime is continuously increasing as well, and that is creating a rapidly growing market for cybersecurity services. This trend will continue for the foreseeable future with cloud storage and computing replacing the traditional, local or company-centric systems. Our technology interests include providing secure communication systems as well as developing additional, unique applications for secure virtual collaboration with a broad spectrum of applications in markets such as scientific communities, infrastructure protection, and battlefield sensors integration. An example is our partnership with Zethus Software and Youngstown State University in creating a system for secure remote access and control of advanced laboratory instruments that would facilitate collaborative research.
