Please read these important notices in regards to the INVENT3D printer.

Version 3 Head

Read this section only if you have received a new head for your 3d printer.  If you still have the version 2 head (under recall) then scroll down skipping this section until you find the Version 2 Head section (follow the directions there).

Please note that the Version 3 Head is also called the E3D head in our directions.

Read both instructional forms to learn how to change your hot end to the new hot end.  After following the directions in both forms, please proceed to the flashing directions  in the paragraph below and then to the Slic3r paragraph below all of that.

You need to immediately flash new firmware to your printer, remember to proceed to the Slic3r paragraph below.  Read the following instructional document in regards to flashing your printer before proceeding.

Your printer type (which you can determine in the document above) will change since you change your head.  Please find your current printer type in the list below and download the appropriate firmware to using during the flashing directions.

If you need a Rambo driver (for older versions of Windows) then you will find the appropriate link below as well.

After flashing your printer, you need to install a new version of Slic3r, the software utilized allowing you to print to your printer.

For Windows folks, uninstall your currently installed version of Slic3r and then install the version of Slic3r below that applies to you.

For Macintosh folks, you will install new heads settings.  Proceed to the install website and follow the directions listed there.

If you encounter problems, contact us via our support website.

Version 2 Head

We ask that all printer operators immediately flash updated firmware when that firmware is available to their printers to help mitigate any fire risks.  Additional information will be released shortly so continue to check this website for more information.

Printer firmware is currently available for printer types 21 and 22 (the printer firmware flashing directions helps you identify what type of printer you have).  Other printer versions are pending.

After updating your printer’s firmware, contact us via our Support System and tell us that you have completed these steps.  Check back at this website when you receive your new updated Version 3 Head for instructions on how to install that head.
